Nevertheless, this is bad advertising. Humour should be handled very carefully, in the right ambience. This one is totally out of place and dilutes the importance of the issue. VERY POOR ADVERTISING!
ok, the boob shot got my attention. almost hardly noticed the pink ribbon which is for breast cancer awareness. and 'udders'? haha! bad translation. thanks hartspueler for giving the correct translation.
Are you guys serious?? These are cheap! Has any woman ever seen these? You think you can have a little laugh at the expense of breast cancer victims? Once again creatives trying to be clever and forgetting the objective.
i agree with u totally, Takmelius...these ads r just plain cheap. They dilute the seriousness of the issue by titillation. I'm all for showing the human body, but at least show it sensitively 4 an issue such as this. this is downright degrading n sleazy.
n am presuming all the above 'positive' comments were made by men. i know no self-respecting woman would like this one. I for one, think it should be riddled with bullets (especially the psychotic girl who's looking at her boobs with that weird expression...)
These ads are a celebration of breasts. It is to show how much men and women enjoy breasts and that we should take care of them. Not cheap. Raise the awareness on just how great breasts are and maybe people will be more likely to save them.
Everyone has their difference in opinion. If you watch the video ads and are from a liberal country like the Netherlands these ads make sense. The negative comments are coming from UAE and India. Maybe that is just a coincidence but I am pretty sure you would never consider showing a breast in an ad in either of those countries. Does the ad make you not want to fight breast cancer? I would like to see how anyone else would target the Netherlands.
Read your last comment and you'll know what I mean. It is never about UAE or India, It's just how a universal-serious issue has been derogatorily put. There is no point in advertising an issue, if it's offensive to its very target audience. If you empathize and pragmatically think of this campaign you will learn that it is by a bunch of 'wanna-be' creatives who are trying hard to satify their creative-ego. But they don't realise that it doesn't serve the purpose. And te answer to your question "Does the ad make you not want to fight breast cancer?", the answer is an obvious 'NO'.
And for heaven-sake please don't pull states and countries into this tiny li'l box filled with your baseless comments.
Jokes apart, it's not about being liberal or not...it's about being sensitive. Go on, ask the women of Netherlands if they like it. If they do, i'll gracefully concede defeat.

finaly a clever cancer campaign
Udders? what? I just dont get the ad. I might sound stupid, but is it for cows? And I know it is satirical, but i jus cant read the other side.
borsten means "breasts". they just translated it wrong, i guess.

Love the ad. Is this how they dress for jogging? Nike should push this trend in USA.
