I thought that if you added a layer to this like the book was visible and easy to find in a dark place/pile of books that would make more sense. Coz then it would metaphorically indicate the advantage of highlighting a sentence-i.e. finding things easily when you need them.

I like it.
it's a more interesting way to sell highlighters than most I've seen and it needs no words to get the point home which is always a plus.

That is an interesting book... marked so many times...
