bad writing. bad art direction. but the logo's kinda nice.
Small market for italian classes in friggin' Halifax....but obviously an even smaller market for art directors
dude, you're killing me. Can you be specific?
Sure...my point is....this is one of only 2 art directors in all of Halifax...and my advise to him is to stay there!!!!
What are you talking about? Have you ever been to Halifax? If the ad isn't your style, that's fine - but making these ignorant statements make you sound like a moron.
At least I don't pretend to be an art director
Oh, the old monk is talking trash! You should have an age restriction on this site Ivan.
Sort it out in the car park, amici. ;)
Table cloth edge and carpet, I take it?
Buono vibe, gracie.
>>>> That's not an ad. THIS is an ad.
Despite the seemingly overwhelming opinions to the contrary, I like these!
They avoid the usual visual clichés in the category, and handle the written ones with a light witty touch.
Maybe I would have used different views of the table, napkins etc. to expand the visuals slightly, but that's all.
Looks like quite a small client, I'm assuming there was quite a small budget, (as there often is in the "real world"), and It is what it is. Job done.
btw, I like the logo, and the strapline. It all hang stogether nicely.
Thanks Chough, and you're right the client had a budget in the hundreds of dollars. I would have liked to do more with the visuals, but I think personally that the visuals have the right feeling, even if they aren't super polished - and the writing is charming.
There's never a big budget for scam work...you think this is real work for a real client? If it is, k-rocka you better watch your back...remember the clients is Italian.
Are you still talking monk? Shouldn't you be off doing some "planning" and leave the design critiques to real creatives?
