Introducing? Pharmasave?
If you're going to walk your dog, make sure to pick up its shit.
the bags turn into dirt?
back to your thumbnails guy.....
notice no one put there credentials on this crap
Yeah...see, that's what biodegradable stuff does. That's why they call it biodegradable. And the point is so that it doesn't spend 30 years sitting in a landfill. If you don't care, well...enjoy living on one in a decade. Bet that'll make your beer really tasty.

oh, the concept was understood, just the execution was studentatious.
Before i rant, I would like the record to show that I am fully aware of my status as an asshole.
now, listen here hippy,I know, and everybody whos been to a Earth Day festival knows the reason you guys never get your message across is because you guys do one of two things when promoting, or educating you cause.
1. Scream your message to high hell, to the point you guys look like crazy people with tin foil hats
or
2. Ridicule someone who doesn't support you position on the matter.
Putting that enviromental stuff aside, lets say you invited a person you acts like this to a party, and they acted accordingly to the general hippy behavior model, after that person mingles at the party for a while and extrudes these qualities, that person would be a labeled as a dick, and an annoying one at that, and no one likes that guy at a party.
And that is why you guys will never get your environmentally charged point across, because you all a bunch of annoying dicks.
Not sure what people aren't getting. This is a good ad. Smart and simple.
I work for a Corporate Social Responsibility firm. Advertising is not art; Advertising is not genial ideas to satisfy a bunch of critics; adv was made to persuade a segment. The ad works perfect!
I hate all those comments "Done" What if it has been done? This is not Innovation of the World... This is Ads of the World, and what really matters is if it is good or not. I am pretty sure of something: You have had sex only once, because in 2nd chance you said... Done!

keep jabbering....doesn't make my beer any colder
When I buy $370 worth of condoms and a bottle of Nestea, you don't have to "persuade" me to use a plastic bag to take my shit home.
But you do have to persuade people to take a biodegradeable bag instead of a plastic one. And this ad's intent is to make you spend that $370 with Pharmasave instead of somewhere else.
I agree - it works. Could be more stylish for greater impact though.
Okay. Two things:
1. Is this ad trying to say that the bags they use at cash registers (after you make a purchase) are biodegradable? Or,
2. Is this ad trying to say that they now sell biodegradable plastic bags in boxes of, say, 80 count?
But really, it doesn't matter. The ad is still horrible.
I think that the problem with this one is the Photography ----> because they wanted to show "SOIL" instead of "DIRT".
But it works. Its a simple idea. Its "ok".
The blank page works great for me.. I do wish the soil looked more decent though, and less like pooch poop.
I really like the idea.
But maybe the dirt should look grey - ashes to ashes?

just a white page would do better
i saw some really good/better ads "against" bags non-biodegradable:
http://adsoftheworld.com/forum/exhibition/for_a_better_planet
deserve to be on front page... at least deserve more than this one here.
Much better in this campaign

All of those ads give the false impression that biodegradeable plastic is leaky though. Doesn't that undercut the message?
^^ agreed.
Why so literal?
- Has everyone noticed the secret behind these signatures? -
The bags break down. They're at Pharmasave. That's the message. The solution works.

I commented on the other Pharmasave ad - the transparent cut out bag - as being a smart ad. Really, I think it was. However, this one is kinda silly. Looks like either: dirt (the intended message), poo (not so much) or - my first conclusion - a pile from an ashtray. Not so good.
