There are different people, with different backgrounds around the world. Different sense of humor. Different interests. BBFMF your standards may not be universal. I lived in China, I know certain things I found funny were baffling my Chinese friends, and vica versa. Also, those american movies with a lot of burping and farting are not funny at all for me, but are hilarious for some people that I have respect for in the US. So, I guess what I'm saying is, we need to put the ads into context.

that is the reason i suppose....but this is not a strict localist idea....this is for an ad festival so there is some kind of universal standard on the judging dont you think. this ppl also see the clio and cannes, this ppl know as well as we do what we are talking about.
Its not a good copy ad not a good graphic ad its just bad....to me.

Thank you for saying this Ivan. I see far too many comments that comment on ads from other cultures and they are so quick to call it weak without thinking of the cultural context. What you said was spot on.

hmmm....i hate to say this, but Ivan, while i agree with your comment broadly, in this case you're wrong. Cos, im an indian and honestly, i've tried but i can't identify with this sense of humour. Its not even slapstick...its just flat. And even the art does nothing to salvage it. Sigh...wish there was a better way of saying this, but this is really bad.

Fair! I was just trying to give the benefit of the doubt.

Did they HAVE to call it Pepper, Chocolat?
Pepper seems to have corralled the 'creative'.
Any other local spices that may have suggested better?

>>>> That's not an ad. THIS is an ad.

This is terrible. The ad sucks. The layout. The copy. The logo. The font. The style.

And they very well know it. See, there is no one’s name in the credits there.

Yeah, the pepper part is a bit much ...pepper is as local a spice in India as it is in most places. Though I'm not sure replacing it with any other spice will do the trick, Rog. This is way too off to begin with...

Jeez! Am a Jr.Copywriter who's just two months old in this business. I'm very happy for the fact that. If an agency itself comesup with a headline like this. I guess as a starter, i find some quality in my lines. These crappy ads or headlines some times can be a motivator for yong people like me in the business. So, don't cuss please. One last thing I'm from India ;)
