So, um... the rock represents the brief and the sword represents this ad?
not funny anymore, the comment in the tree ad was fine
..
before, i had no idea what Pattex was/did. now, i still have no clue.
no glue
thanks for the explanation. hmmm... no, idea doesn't do it for glue, and neither does the logo just slapped on.
I dont like ads: "hey look at this great photo, I could use it for ....example pattex!"
i think the exaggeration glue&excalibur works. not great but still nice.
we all know that excalibur was fixed in the stone WITHOUT glue - so this idea doesnt work for any glue
one should not take life so seriously - as one will not come out of it alive.
Agreed. Having no idea what Pattex was before I read the comments, this ad does absolutely nothing for me or the product. It's lazy.
A borrowed interest gone horribly wrong.
It does absolutely nothing for me, either...
hmm, not bad. i think they could have improved this ad by making a real product statement. in fact, pattex has special products to glue metal to stone. they could have shown the sword not IN the, but balancing with the tip ON the stone. this is a little uninspired, for me
but than it wouldn't be Excalibur anymore, would it?
then it would be a pattex excalibur. but who knows if you'd get it. in my head it looks fine ;)
Award! Super work for super glue
Award? Come on. This is so not cool. And the Logo is way too big.
Why is it that most of the posts that call for ads to get "awards" are guest comments. Hmm? Especially for the ads that are decent at best like this one. It is a bit literal for me.

CANNES GRAND PRIX
Student work for me...Logo is too big for a professional art director.
So you can identify student work by the size of the logo? No matter the quality of the photo, the strenght of the concept and things like this? You're really sensitive.
lame..
yuck, that huge ass, awful logo right in the middle of the sun rays is pissing me off.

Love the way "student work" is identified by use of a big logo, by a "Professional" (Note: not "Senior") Art Director. Keep your feet on the ground my "Pro" friend & well done to the "Students!" PS. The "Professional Art Director" would probably have shoe-horned a headline into this one, something pathetic like, "Sticks around for a long time.." Later, guys & gals
You guys are worrying about a logo when we all should be thinking that it needs a better idea. Over anal-izing the logo is thinking by a "student" or a "professional" who should be a "student".

wow...nice... congratulation.. good idea

EL LOGO ESTA MUY GRANDE, LE QUITA MUCHA FUERZA
this aint no award winning ad, but the idea is nice, if you had taken it a bit further i think it could be better. eg: if you showed arthur with glue remover or some sort of lubricant even pulling the sword out of the rock rather than an ad for glue
i like it.

nice mood and composing - weak idea.
put your fucking publicist's messages out of this area and think like a normal consumer.
The answer just is YES(i buy it) or NO(i call you)
+ let all your "publintelectual" messages for your mama.
goofBYE!
PS: Im not from the states.
"PS: Im not from the states."
then you must be the art or creative director of this dubious piece of work
- but by the way - i love the picture very much and i would love this picture even more without the logo
the idea is weak because it doesn´t exist, the only reasonable explanation for that surreal logo is that this piece was ment for outdoor.
Still sucks big time, nice Photoshop though.
Dont like it.
jajjaaj "surreal logo"
agree
i like it.
so many ads that real consumers cant understand.
The logo maybe is too big, but there is no a thing like a final word, its all bout different point of views. Some clients love their logos very big.
just bad..
i like the concept but i think they need to more than just a logo because otherwise unless you know what the product is beforehand you still won't know
