the idea isn't clear enough
Everybody is creative, be yourself.
Yea the idea isn't clear enough but it still has a nice feel about it.

The idea is not clear enough? Are you serious? It's a toy store. Spielzeug means toys. And Pastorini is the name of the store that sells these wooden toys. The target market would know this. It is ridiculous when someone would give an ad poor rating just because the idea isn't "clear enough" to them.
I agree with atb2005. Good idea and great execution!

Thx! Couldn't explain this better. Big up!
Awesome art direction. Keep up the good job! :)
thank you so much for the motivation :)
I'll be more clear in my comment: it's obvious that it's a toy's store ad, but i'm commenting the idea or the message, i can't get what they trying to say in this ad, and as said bellow, giant toys are made billion times ago.
Everybody is creative, be yourself.
Love it... and the is the idea in braille in case you're blind.

usually in advertising, target is not only smart people as you who can guess idea, specially when you sell toys.
Everybody is creative, be yourself.
Eh, it's okay. The giant kids has been done so much.
@atb I think the idea being clear is pretty important. I understand the translations here but what is the idea? Big toys? Realistic toys?
You got to be joking, Happy.
Nope, not joking. Your explanation above was just a translation of the language and explanation of the product. I must be stupid - please explain the idea for me.
@HappyHour: Imagine! It's a toy store for simple wooden toys, wich helps to let grow kids imagination. So try to remember where you've been seeing yourself as kid while playing? The picture says it all. And a nother insight as I live in Zurich where the campaign was to be seen: I have watched kids running and screaming at this posters, asking their mum if they could take part and play together with the kid on the Ad :o) Cheese!
Thanks for the explanation! :) Perhaps a quick tagline would've brought me to the realization sooner...not sure what mislead me. (At first glance I thought it had something to do with the attention-to-detail/realism of the toys.)
Seriously, Happy, you are grown up, right? There's nothing to explain as everything is self-explanatory. C'mon. Besides, read what the creative said above. Check out their previous campaign for the same brand.

What's not to like? Beautiful photography. Bright vivid colors. Cool toys. :)
I was with you on this one at first atb2005, but reading what the creative above said made it more apparent that it wouldn't hurt to have a line on the ad. The creative above said the message is to help let kids grow imagination, but when I saw it, I thought the message was that the toys are realistic.
@boxey: Sorry but the copywriter got arrested for piracy by those sneaky Police-Officers on the little Boat, so he's sorry he could not make it. :)
Besides, we thought a Headline could make the little Kids feel sad, because they couldn't read it.
But anyhow, rien ne va plus ;)
Fair enough. If it works for your target, kudos. It is a nice shot.
The idea is very clear, the focus is on the kid playing with his toy. Hot wheels done it before with cops and kids. Too lazy to search.
Maybe lost in visual translation North American kids think different from European kids ;P
because therefore it is
