Oh the concept is great, just great, but the execution is poor.
The ideia is OK, but I don´t like the execution either. Why is her forearm desaturated?
Man, I almost copied and pasted your word.

And I am not the real Juan Cabral, guys. So sorry for that!
I don't get only one thing: the execution
very dramatic artwork and to do the point copy. this print ad will definitelly raise brand awareness and it will sell the product.
I don't know why but it reminded me Battlestar Galactica. Probably because of the cool tone.
so awful!
That fish tail looks almost too realistic at the end. It kind of skeeves me out.If the point is some kind of cosmetics, I am missing that. Also, desaturated isn't pastel - that's not what they were going for, is it?
BAD BAD photoshop
Execution is awful. I thought cosmetics were supposed to make you more attractive. This mermaid is one that kills and farts at the same time. Her face does not match the head and the head has a weird shape. Fine for a sci fi channel, but not for a cosmetic product if you ask me.
Bad execution

I honestly think that the concept is fine but everyone is right in saying that a mermaid is supposed to look more graceful, if they were going to use one, why not use one in the water rather than on the beach? It would have been way more graceful.

She´s too serious. Mermaids are happy creatures.
I love the idea, but as others said the execution isn’t the best. Her tail doesn’t look right, her hair is too flat and the backgrounds dose nothing to complement the model. Nice try...but you may have to do a reshoot.
the concept its a first idea
Looks like she smells fishy...
She just looks so sullen. Not a good direction to go in for a cosmetics ad, IMHO. And, like everyone's been saying, the execution is a bit sloppy.

nice idea, but why do she's so serious, shouldn't she smiling

~ Quite obviously, I have gathered no moss ! ~
The fish part is indeed messy - it looks like an old sardine.
Sorry I've posted a similar reference without having read your comment.
EXXACTLY !
Poor. What an expression!!! Besides, she looks like a sardine.
There's a huge difference between the global idea and the execution. 3D would have been better in my opinion.
Ew this is one ugly mermaid.

Bad execution...
I'm just a student. DON'T SHOOT!
I love it, it is super creative, and gorgeous to boot! Waterproof so the mermaid can be sexy (well sexier) all the time....awesome! Not fishy at all, groovy baby! Love it.

maybe seeing her underwater would be more effective.
