Clever! :)

Done before, still ok

hm. nice approach. but "discover the orient" in just reading "chinese food festival" falls a little flat

It's a shame it's already been done, execution and idea wise, otherwise it would've been cool.

VGC needs non scammers/copier machines.

Ad(dicted)

I didn't get it at first because I was already drunk and didn't have to squint my eyes. (I blame the really weak "headline"). Great idea but apparently already done a few times.

done to death. and in better ways.
this ad has no concept at all anyway.

I suppose this sucks because "it's been done."

But then again, I've stared at it for five minutes enjoying the visual effects, and now I can't forget what the ad said, so...

Mmm, I want some egg drop soup.

i don't think it sucks because it's done... for me it sucks anyway.
discover the orient??? come on.
and i personally didn't stare at it because it was in my face, i didn't have to "pull the corners" of my eyes or whatever... anyway.

pull the corner of your eyes? wow, that's so fucked up. But, Indians aren't known for their tact.

They could've just said "squint and discover..." but ohhhh no! They HAD TO be tacky and go the racial stereotype route to tie back to the whole Chinese (Asian) thing.
I can come up with a whole bunch of Indian racial jokes in a matter of seconds if that's how they want it.

The ad is fun to play with, but that's all there is to it. A gimmick.
Oh, and I understand it's been done to death...

i hate when they made ads using some "trick" watched in a powerpint presentation wich has been traveling the world for years...

i just dont like it

I'm with Jet Propulsion Lab, the line should say squint.
I like the resource.

Awesome!!! dunno about the food.....but the ad was just like magic...:)

yet another copy from india

invent something.

what did AOTW (Ivan) see in this?

It's a good idea that involves the audience. I didn't know it was done for another Chinese restaurant.

I saw something you didn't last summer ... you didn't do it that way to go but wasn't.
