I love it. The payoff is well worth the extra few seconds it'll take some people to get.

I like to think there's an acceptable number of casualties for ads. If you're always doing work that everyone will easily get, it usually means you're doing bland work.

It's all been done before.

This ad is interesting, and you instantly get that it's for binoculars.
If you want to read into the ad more...fine.

These days advertising is so cryptic, you sometimes need to examine an ad for 5 minutes before you get it.
Who are these judges at awards shows anyway...some kind of a CSI team?
