Nice but the product sucks ;)
Clearly advertising for advertisers but still a nice thought.

Aren't all applications use this key combo for undo? Therefore Word using office girls would relate too.
Come to think of it... you're right. My bad. ;)
Still, it's somehow just nice. More as in average.

what if you use mac? apple + Z?.. I had the same idea before but for shirt. " I wish life has command Z"

Ivan, sometimes you blow me away with the insight you have.
Kudos to you for spotting this.
I loved the ad, but now you've pointed that out, it surely must win an award. Or should it? I leave it to the panel to decide...
It has won an award. GP Print at Dubai Lynx Awards 2007.
could you further explain you idea, i don't quite understand what you are referring to, thanks
that's it
its a great idea...
ideas....30 minutes nahi toh free.
Why the keyboard connection? What’s the relevance? Can you purchase it online? Seems like a stretch for me. Just an excuse to use an overused visual pun.
that's true
Only works for Apple-users.
Not a real ad anyway.
yeah...windows doesn't have a Control key. THINK MAN!

hmmm... windows has a ctrl key... mac uses the apple/command key.
anyway... its a good ad.
Agreed... the abovesaid moron must be using some fascinating Vietnamese tin can/bat manure hybrid computer...
Great idea.
this is a good idea, but its solely targeted to the advertising jury. I'm positive mature women in there 50-60's aren't really familiar with that shortcut.
Don't you think the advertising jury will realize that? Apparently not. It was just awarded with a Grand Prix at Dubai Lynx, which is the Cannes of the Middle East.

i need to move to dubai
Hardly at Cannes level Ivan... it would be more accurate to say the Mobius Awards of Dubai

If at first you dont succeed... don't try parachuting
Um, I think you'll find that the core group of purchasers for this product is likely in their 30's. Most women I know over thirty uses or has considered using a product like this. Mature women, on the other hand, have learned to accept their wrinkles.
This ad is spot on!
Sounds reasonable.
hackneyed art director masterbation.
my friend had a similar idea in his book literally 10 years ago. and he's a hack.
(command) - s with a tree
(command) - f with a peace symbol
etc, etc, zzz
I think I know that guy. Won a few awards with that ad for the online donations to save the rain forests. Even used the 'apple command' S.
"If only life was Macintosh."

Even Apple were beaten to that. Have a look in the D&AD Annual from 2004 (the one with the hologram thing on the front). O&M Frankfurt did a book called "The Death of the Mouse" which was designed to teach people all the keyboard shortcuts. They used things like Osama bin Laden for "apple f" and a car wrapped around a tree for "apple z".
It won the grand prix at the Lynx awards.
Whot a joke!!!!!!
What a pity about those Mac ads. This is a really cool idea. But still, if barcodes can win the titanium you can be fairly sure this will win anyways.
This must be fake.
Vive La Aducation!
I don't care if it's a virus!
I like this a lot.
And you very soon realise just how many women will get it.
Lovely thinking... that improves with age.
"It's Mabo. It's land rights. It's the VIBE, your honour!"
>>>> That's not an ad. THIS is an ad.
nice idea! i like it
the FORCE is very strong in this ad.
explain yourself, you must...
"It's Mabo. It's land rights. It's the VIBE, your honour!"
>>>> That's not an ad. THIS is an ad.
My issue with it is that the target audience for age defying/reversing cream are older women. Older women in the middle east are NOT familiar with the concept of CTRL-Z. Hence office word-using girls aren't necessarily the primary audience. Besides that, it's nice and simple. Nothing will ever beat 'Tock Tick' though.

Tock. Tick.
Damn, that's sharp. I hadn't heard/seen that Olay ad.
We've got to think beyond the stereotypical office girl, though.
Few western women would be unfamailiar with computers...
and fewer would be disinterested in the benefit of Olay.
"It's Mabo. It's land rights. It's the VIBE, your honour!"
>>>> That's not an ad. THIS is an ad.
Believe me, the target audience is NOT older women. We're talking the 30-somethings here. And they know Ctrl+Z
i wanted to forward this to ivan some time ago and didnt know how... thing is, just like some guys already said, the audience is mid aged women (30 something)... although i LOVE the simplicity of this ad, but i must say, its not a matter of not knowing word, or computers, its that ull be amazed the number of computer users that dont use shortcuts at all! i still deal with people who use: menu>edit>copy for ctrl+C, and some still menu>edit>undo... the problem is with "keyboard shortcut mentality" rather than "computer use" but its great to know it won an award, it MUST!
I must add that MAC has a very little market share in the ME, so if anybody knows shortcuts at all, they all know ctrl+Z

Just Bitchin
But how did it win this year. I'd seen it some years back? Strange these awards. But nice one, though when I showed it to my wife she couldn't get it. You guys try it at home.
Just Bitchin
Simplicity's they key word!!! It rocks!!!!!
let's say it better!
Sakibafridi, im with u on that one. Nothing to beat the simplicity of tock tick. that was truly awesome.
excellent job!!
Clever idea, but I have to agree that it might have missed the target audience.
Doin' it for the points
i use command Z.
so olay designers use IBM???? ;)
Same shit, diff day..
for mac users - 10
Client must be dead after seeing all that white space.
I updated the image. Now it's high res and it has the correct proportions. Much smaller objects compared to the page. The previous image was taken from the Dubai Lynx page and they posted it incorrectly.
Hi PC, I'm a mac...
Frankly, I have seen about a hundred variations on the ctr z theme. And twenty of them in skin care.
i think this one misses the target group
