These ads are related to the recent reforms in Brazil's most famous stadium: Maracanã. The reform is part of a national effort to make Rio de Janeiro able to host the Olympics in 2012 and Brazil to host World Cup of 2014.

it probably works to get football fans motivated. so i like it in that sense. but creatively, it's pretty uninspired.

I'm so sorry... when I first read the copy below I misread and thought it said the Macarena that horrible dance craze that swept through during the 90's (and still exists in some parts of New Hampshire). Gives a completely different and hilarious tone to the ad. :)
