provoking by any means isn't that creative, least of all when using osama. there's an overuse of bin laden in advertising and i haven't seen a really good ad with bin laden so far.

Here is a good ad using the image of bin laden. The reason it's good is because it's not borrowed interest.

I agree with Jet Propulsion Lab. Terrible. "Oh let's use Osama because he's controversial. Not strong enough, let's force the idea." I hate it. Nice art direction though.

I don't know who the "real" client was for this ad, but the Cannes Lions officials would never run this type of an ad to promote their own festival. It's just plain WRONG!
