NZZ: Binary Code

Front page in binary code. How Switzerland's most renovned newspaper went fully digital. The "Neue Zürcher Zeitung" went fully digital. In order to inform a broad public about the new digital strategy NZZ chose to surprise its readers on the newspaper's very own front page entirely written in binary code.

This is very creative and I like it, but the problem is besides digital it also suggests that the digital version will be complicated and people may have hard time using it unlike the good old paper.

A very creative and brave idea. However, is it clear enough for an average reader? Will it actaully work the opposite and scare people of the digital version?

I would assume they used some other methods to really communicate that they're going digital. This is just the stunt to get everyone's attention. It seems to be doing it's job.
