good use of different media=]

The glow-in-the-dark thing wouldn't work, you would be able to see all the glow print in the light...it wouldn't magically appear like that. It's interesting one time, but not three in a row.

it's hard enough to get people to look at a print ad for 1 second. you're asking people to leave the magazine open, get up from their chair, turn off a light, and return (or just take the magazine on the journey). while that would be awesome, it's a lot of work. who knows, though.

BBFMF, u sound extremely patronizng when ur not busy sounding negative. Though, I think this is the nicest you've ever been on AOTW!!

Dear Chocolat: I dont have to be nice i just say what I think...some times I say things in my negative kind of way but i am like that sorry to bother you.

Ive been a guest for a LONG time , cant believe this ad is the one that made become a member. I really like this one and no it is not impossible to get someone off their chair and turn off the lights and look at it. This is the most creative thing about it. Think about it, it creates curiosity and it engages people. Its like lets play a game. The use of media of this ad is definately clever. Rather than just looking at an ad and turning the page, this one makes you 'spend some time with it'. Nice student work. 4 stars.

this isn't bad work, but it's effectively the same exact thing that won the one show last year for hybridcenter.org.

part of the problem is with the one show for assigning more or less the same client two years in a row.

but one look at last year's winner should have prevented someone from submitting this.

"oh, but it's glow in the dark, not flipped upside down."

also, it's NATURAL, not NATIONAL.

I'm with wkanaan on this one, and I have to say his comment was well on the money.

It's only an ad.

For students' work tihs is really very good. i've seen some pro stuff way behind this kind of thinking. i strongly believe you have a nice future ahead of you. keep it up guys:-)

While it looks nice, clean and simple the whole concept doesn't work on both an intelectual and practical level.
1, It's based on an unsustainable premise (like turning off the lights is all we need do-same idea three times here too remember)and 2, you can't get invisible glow in the dark inks that wont give the game away under normal lighting so it's just wishfull thinking on all levels-sorry, nice try an' all but no cigar.
Once past the gimic the idea isn't sufficiently robust to answer the brief eg what about automobile emissions, industrial smokestacks etc etc?
I also don't recommend patronising comments on students work.
