Great idea, great copy, great art. In other words: Great campaign.

It's very hard to find ads that really entertain the readers of a magazine. And i have to say, I spent at least a few minutes with this one.

love the art. I saw the original in portuguese and there is a word pun (not too bright tough) that is impossible to translate. Something like: "in other words, another worms" or "it means: beans"

I'm a bit lost here. So you have to win the lottery before you can drink that particular beer?
In case this ad is based on a word pun in the original language, as Basuca explains, it's a piss poor concept.
The art direction is outstanding. Hire the art director, fire the copywriter.

i like the camapaign. if done by the wrong person, the visual would have been too busy. the copy complements it as well. well done guys (especially in the beer category where almost everythings been done b4).

One of the best campaigns I've seen here recently. Fresh, idea, nice art, a lot of funny details - great stuff.

Nice ad though.

How often during award season do we see ads with kooky perspectives? The most over-used of these is good old top-down. In the best work, there's a reason for it (that Slimming ad picked up Gold a few years back that showed someone using a book above their head as an umbrella, or the non-slip tape ads on this very site). In this case, there's no reason beyond 'it looks kinda cool'. Add to that a weak concept and you've got pretty wallpaper, nothing more.

People seem to be forgetting that the point of advertising is to make people spend their hard-earned cash on your goods and services, not just create cool-looking images (that's what posters are for). Sure, it looks like a great party to be at - that doesn't make it a great ad as some people are exclaiming. I have no idea how Joe winning the lottery relates to the beer, and the copy makes no sense.
I think this ad would be better if it had no copy at all, and was just a picture of a wicked looking party, with the logo at the bottom.

I go with you on this one. All I'm reading here is that instead of winning money, Big Joe won a lot of beer.
Very messy!

Just another comment because I'm waiting for some thing to print...
Why would anyone waste time looking too hard at this so called 'good art directed ad' when the people in the shot aren't doing anything out of the ordinary. An easy days work for all of those models and a good earner for the modelling agency. Just because an ad is from Brazil, it doesn't make it great.
