Recycling Promotion, garbage truck, Vineyard

Agency:
Published/Aired:
December 2008
Description:

While consumers totally support recycling, they don't understand how many recyclables (and compostables) actually wind. Up in the waste stream and in landfills. In order to communicate how much. More we could all be doing, we decided to use a trompe'loie technique that. Let people "see" into a garbage collection vehicle. The contrasting image - what could be preserved - is then shown inside a fine rule outline of a recycling/composting cart.

I've seen this a lot in Europe, but not in the US. An interesting approach - finding a new way to sell can't be easy.

a very familiar device. seeing that the device is essentially the concept, they're not too original

It's not work.

This is great, nicely executed. BTW I really loved the work your agency did for FLEXYOURPOWER.org. Beautiful, arresting use of photography in that campaign.

If you need a paragraph to explain your idea, maybe it isn't working yet. A horrendously-written paragraph. Were you drunk? And, after reading your explanation, I don't think the headline pays it off. You have some cool thoughts here. You need a new line for the visual and/or a new visual for the headline (for a 2nd ad or different campaign direction).
