Yea it's a total fail. The lady is promoting buying fur in this ad and you do a really weak job at saying no to it or morally tackling the idea of purchasing fur to kill.

Using a "not-so-attractive" model would not work because the ad would fail as an oxymoron. It would then be just funny. It's appealing because of the attractive model but the contrast of the copyline makes one think twice about buying fur.
