Nice. Awesome church craftsmanship. Makes a nice photo.
I get it. Old churches are sorta dark places. So the benefit of Nivea is – if you go to a place where there aint much sun ...

Except how often does the average tanner go into these dark churches? Trying too hard to be creative not thinking enough about the audience.

Guest's picture

On the contrary, I think it speaks to the audience perfectly.

You don't need to go to dark churches or train stations to understand and relate to the message, which CLEARLY communicates that you can get a tan even when there is no sun. The dark church highlights this fact.

The market, people who want tans but don't have the time to got the beach or the tanning salon, sees this ad and learns that wherever they might be, even in DARK PLACES, they can get a tan with Nivea Sun.

The line is strong. Working with the visual, it clearly communicates the single minded benefit in a memorable way.

THIS IS A STRATEGICALLY AND CREATIVELY STRONG AD.

You're taking it too literally. Are you a know-it-all ad student? OR are you a P&G / Unilever client?

i agree... but still its confusing. I feel somany layers inside.

Neither, but thanks for your willingness to appreciate different point of views. I think the line is strong and I think the train station is the most successful—the setting is more relevant and pays it off better.

it talks about being on holiday... People visit old churches all the time. They don't have to spend all day on the beach to get a tan...

hehe... did you guys do the ad? Sounds like you're over passionate about explaining exactly why it works.

I think it's ok, wondered whether it was for sun protection or for tanning for a while. People don't spend that long in churches. But I get it.

A better line would be 'Take the sun with you.'
