i admire your selection of work here ivan. excellent for me mediocre for smone else ideas find a spotlight, creatives interact and comments give you space to become better. i don't care if the work was never published, as long as the idea's strong and it serves the brand. This will continue to be the most popular site amongst creatives from around the world and freedom of exchange of ideas is what makes it happen.
Just a question. Do people do up ads and post them on the internet without them being sold first?
Take this ad for example. Nike would have never bought an ad like this. Firstly where's the product and secondly what in the hell are rain shoes???
A creative team that posts any ad that clearly isn't real, clearly doesn't know very much about advertising. How is this going to benefit Nike or their agency?
Just curious. Would you have commented so if this was an ad by W+K Portland? The swoosh is recognisable the world over. And you don't need shoes to be shown there.
The ad is nice, but what the hell is rain shoe? and WHY the hell people wanna walk around under the rain????? isnt it shud be water resistant instead of rain shoe???? sound stupid isnt it...

now* and next*....just lookin out for ya pixel! ((((((also, if you wanna crit grammar...you should really consider using complete sentences...cheers))))))
I totally agree with KJP. Dattaram advertising is hardly known in India, how could they land up Nike account. Or am I wrong? I have a feeling lot of ads here are posted without even the agency CDs knowing about it.
i have a feeling that nike dont even have a range called "rain shoes".
do a google search of nike rain shoes, see what comes up.
apart from that though - cool ad.

i just went cross-eyed trying to figure out if this was one of those 'magic eye' images in hopes that the rain shoe would be depicted....no dice tho. this feels fake to me too. still, its a pretty neat take on the swosh....
I would LOVE to own a pair of running shoes that are good in the rain. When it rains and you jog on pavement or ashfault it can get slipery due to oils on the surface. I've nearly taken a dive a couple of time. They also get wet and your feet get all soggy and pruny.
This ad obviously has caused quite a stir. I like the visual of the logo being a raindrop and it illustrates the rain part. I don't need to know what the shoe looks like, I don't care, I want that shoe!

I think Ivan feels like he should put some work up from smaller agencies after the bagging he's been getting lately from Boony and myself, but seriously Ivan, what is this? A crap scam ad. That's what it is.
I think the comcept has enough potential.it's execution should have been classy though simplified, coz nike has it's own classy kinda way of executing creatives. U people made it tomuch croudy i would say. sorry guies.
why are you guys whinging about people doing ads for clients they dont have?
you've all done it. dont tell me you havent.
india is the king of doing it.
the only problem with this one is that the product doesnt exist. now that's dumb.
Comments
let me see the shoe :)

Good One!!
All hail the CD on this one :) He just did it!
hmmm...not up to the usual stuff we see from nike in my opinion. seems more like a visual device than an idea.
duhhh...
Cool
A decent use of one of the world's most popular logos.

All the respect.. This is a complete failuure.. Thos would never generate profits for nike.
This is (product-sticked to idea ad)!

Happens a lot. Just ask the creative team responsible for this travesty:

Absolutely! Everytime it begins to rain I have to stop running (I run on asphalt) because of the same reason, you can fall very easily.
Hahaha I thought it was magic eye too at first. I dunno about this one, there's not a lot of idea in it.
Nike Rain Shoes - Yeah right.
Ain't no such thang.
I should've made a google search. Zero hits on nike rain shoes.
I think Ivan feels like he should put some work up from smaller agencies after the bagging he's been getting lately from Boony and myself, but seriously Ivan, what is this? A crap scam ad. That's what it is.
hmmmm,,,,but u can exicute better way to show d rain...i think u hav e to use less logos ..understand..idea is ggod..
When did the Dattaram people got NIKE account?
OOOh! They might be dreamed abt. it.
I think the comcept has enough potential.it's execution should have been classy though simplified, coz nike has it's own classy kinda way of executing creatives. U people made it tomuch croudy i would say. sorry guies.
I think it is a nice ad, but if it is scam, it should be removed. Or let's run another blog for fake ads :-) Or just please modify the credits:
Client: Dattaram
Viral Self Promotion Campaign
:-)
Good point. I'll try to find out.

agreed...but i still feel the seperate scammy ad category is a good idea.
A. AHEM, NIKE IS A JWT ACCOUNT!
B. NIKE DOESN'T BUY SCAMS
C. ADS FROM DATTARAM WHATERVER AD AGENCY SHOULD BE BLOCKED ON THIS SITE, COZ THE SITE LOSES ITS CREDIBLITY!
A. ok but we are here to talk about the "Work", not which agency handling which account???
B. ok but the idea is "great"
C. ok , the site loses its Credibility by posting bad work, not good one!
A. IF THERE'S NO AGENCY, THERE'S NO WORK, THEN THERE'S NO DISCUSSION HAPPENING ON THIS SITE
B. THIS IDEA IS OK. JUST OK. IS IT YOUR AD?
C. IS IT YOUR AD, AGAIN?
fuck off adasia
