It isn´t... that´s why it´s 99.9% japanese, it has the color, the flavor, everything... the only thing not japanese is where they make it.

Facts are not quite right. Soy sauce originated in China sometime in the 2nd century BCE and its use later spread to East and Southeast Asia. And the name Maggi is from Europe. By the mid-19th century, the Japanese soy sauce gradually disappeared from the European market, and soy sauce became synonymous with the Chinese product.
