Sorry. I don't see any cleverness in this.
Not to mention voting it up, yourselves.
>>>> That's not an ad. THIS is an ad.

I dunno what the problem is, but this ad is so damned easy to get. I guess some people may not get it, but you can't always design for the lowest common denominator. All we'd see would be crap then.
C'mon people.
It's great, look for it in the books.

I don't get it.
Yeah, I see she's wearing boots instead of ruby slippers. SO WHAT?
Nice. Really nice.
in the wizard of oz, the red shoes are the highest object of desire, here she doesn't care about them anymore, because...
aaaaa, explanation. finally. now it makes more sense (been too long since I watched the movie ;-) ). but still, to me - a bridge too far...
how many knew it and how many cares!!!@@

Others have seen what is and asked why. I have seen what could be and asked why not.

HAHAHAHAHA simply add, very clever comments :D hahahaha
in this kind of ads with references to world wide known cultural icons (like this one and the one with the dark side of the moon album cover for LG phones), brands take the risk of loosing the attention of a few people who are not related to that specific icon, but these people are so few, and the concepts are so strong, that some brands think it's worth it. i think so too.
