what do the signs have to do with adopting pets? Bad art direction choice.

I'll tell you why it's not working (Though seems like a nice idea at first sight)

Because you are comparing human daughters and sons and picking animals over them. You are, in a way, insulting humans. And turning back to them and asking for their help saying '' Adopt an Animal'' doesn't work like that at all.

Something else: nobody (who is sane) would choose an animal to adopt over his own offspring. This comparison just doesn't work. I think that ''mothering an animal'' idea is nice to work with, but not like this.

I'll tell you why it's not working. Because it is a cute joke and you have no sense of humor. Not even a bit.

This will sound very pedestrian to some people, but can anyone explain to me how a tiny inset image of a zoo animal in the lower right hand corner would NOT have helped this campaign? As it is, it seems halfway where it needs to be.

With the inset, it might not be award-worthy, but what do they think they have here as it sets?

Forget the art direction. I think there are funnier ways of comparing human children to baby animals. Maybe the client reined it in?

lines have lost perspective. art looks dated and more importantly, irrelevant. bad retouching.
and the ad is without the zoo's logo! a potentially good idea gone completely wrong!
really pathetic considering 2 CDS, 1 ECD and 2 NCDs overlooked this campaign!

Great! Let's adopt an animal in a country where millions are starving! And I don't mean animals

They are both different matters. There are people starving in every country (Including the developed). So do they not adopt animals? The campaign here is not that great, if it were I am sure your response would have not been this.

Askance observation: Only the human animal blows billions on Starbucks, lotto scratch-offs and cigarettes, then complains about the deficit.

Fail. What animal (that I could adopt) can walk the day it's born? It should be "from the first time I laid eyes on her," shouldn't it. Either way - weak idea.

Dude, you are a fail...

"Baby horses can walk and even run on their very first day of life." for example.

At least be less patronizing when you know sh*t about it.

i would call my dog, my furkid but i wouldnt go as far as calling her my daughter... it's odd. like i have no life. not that i have a life, but it smacks of way too close to my pets for my comfort.
i dunno, its prolly just me
