the gun is an expected icon. and it can be read the wrong way. kinda like getting shot while texting and driving.
I like the idea. But wrong imagery. A gun by itself doesn't kill.

Text making figures is obvious. But when texting is subject, it is even more obvious.

Idea is OK,
but if in-lieu of text had there been some meaningfull copy which ends up as like a crash kind of, would have been better.
