Idea? Insight? Where? Unless there's a beautiful copy, this is very average for me

In Dutch this works great IMO.
It's a campaign to attract more advertisers to NGC to show themselves from "their best sides" Like nature already does it on the channel itself.

Why did you vote based on the copy if you didn't understand the true copy?

cause if it's not translated, i assume it's not that important

Frankly, I'm a little surprised at how dull the photo looks. Five seconds to adjust the levels would have bumped up the vividness enormously.

Why so many guests to congratulate an ad that wont win anything in any good award show?
I bet a lot of them have the same IP adress

Getting the entire agency to leave pretty comments and pat each other on the back will sadly NOT MAKE THIS A GOOD AD!
poor work.

Nice link, nice insight, good ad. Why attack the work and its creators, assuming it has been made for awards? I think it's just a good, honest piece of real-world work. Let's appreciate that.

What a piece of obvious crap. Where are all the pat on the back compliments coming from? Not worth printing, let alone putting in your porti.

At least it gets people's attention. It already has more comments than most ads here.

No idea? It's an inheric truth. So, good stuff. Not one of those constructed pieces of artistic nothingness for a non excisting client that usually wins awards.

well, award-oriented ads at least hit their target. these won't.

pietmiller's picture

Eh...it depends what kind of target you mean. That lame judges from advertising-illiterate countries can at least compromise on liking them enhough? Most likely because the same kind of ads (in many cases even identical) have won awards for the last 20 years so they do not have to defend their choices? Look at the last Eurobest and Cannes print results: It's like 1990 again! Like originality has nothing to do with creativity! It's all politics too. If India can come up with a decent campaign it has te bo a Lion since India should get a lion otherwise they will not enter next year. Stuff like that. It's sick. Awards shows are Old School, I tell ya.

no, it's not politics. it's business.

yes, all big markets must get an award.
yes, all big brands must get an award.
yes, all big agencies must get an award.
yes, big agencies 'borrow' the idea from unknown agencies, do it a bit better, re-enter few years later and pick the metal.
yes, smaller countries or markets get an award aprox. every 7 years (read that somewhere, long time ago).
yes, jury must be politically correct like Miss Universe competition.

and since it's business, it has its rules.
play accordingly and you might get it.
that's how award-oriented ads reach their target (juries): they have a great insight.
unlike this campaign.

Well, how come so many of these ads that win are so lame? Since you say they have a great insight.
