"Planned" to conquer the world? Why just planned? Do kids fantasize about conquering the world or about planning?
I KNOW I'm the only one who's bugged by this, but...
Alpha Centauri is a star in the Milky Way, which is "our" galaxy. There can't be a galaxy near it, unless you mean another one is colliding with ours, which is possible, but the phrasing is still wrong.
