HELLO... bertolucci, stanley kubrik, kieslowski, jane campion, polanski & a hundred thousand other greats of art have used nudity to make a point. i would advise you to see "A Clockwork Orange", "Last Tango in Paris"& "The Piano"..
i am sure you'll agree that the nature of the communication and the TG needed this nudity for optimising the message that really gives you the shakes!
a round of applause for the entire creative team.

I totally disagree. I love the line "apart from Aids, nothing has changed", but I dislike the visual. Daring does not equal 'effective'. It's a first thought if you ask me. These ads don't really alert people, they just arouse them.

Arouse them eh? Really? These ads "arouse" people do they? What are you? 12?

I get the message, and also find it interesting to see that the previous conception of Victorian people being prudish, sexually, was in fact a myth. It was just as grimy as it is today, and we need to keep remembering that this "AIDS" problem isn't going to fade away if we just go about amusing that what went before us in no way reflects what we are or where we are now.

All that said, it isn't the worlds greatest ad, but ads use sex to sell pretty much everything. At least it's used in the right context here.

If you think that this is obscene, then you haven't got your eyes open most days.

many well educated and well filmed/read people would make the point that some of those people went beyond taste. A Clockwork Orange is a trashy and trite little fetish bag that wallows in its filthy content instead of rising above it. Polanski has had a perverse viewpoint of sexuality which is why he will not come back to the U.S. (he stands to face charges of statutory rape of which he is undoubtedly guilty, and i don't care how long it happened ago, it proves something about him). i could go on, but my point is that nudity is rarely ever worth using to make a point because either the artist or the audience will not be able to rise above it. If something is created without that in mind then it is a poor art, indeed, and a poorer world to have it in it.

Whats wrong with you people? It's not that great of an ad, but i don't get how anyone can be offended by it. I've never seen "i don't want to see something like that" as comment for anti war ads with dead and bloody people and stuff, but one black and white pic not even really showing something and some of you act like this is the most horrible picture they ever had to see.
