krautland! dude, u just don't like that reference! LOL!

I don't like ads that insult me.
I don't like companies that forget who they are.
I don't like what MTV has become.

i think the ad is working. now they can mesure the effectiveness of this ad. because u got fired. and u r the person they want to talk.

Beware of scam.

i liked the socks !!

oh how it pisses dear krautland to hear that all of 100GB of his music was bought in soulseek/piratebay/etc

if not, why the fuss?

could you translate that into english, please?

Ethics regardless, the ad in itself is quite lousy..

I´m a Pirat, roar!

Is Mtv a music channel?? Maybe if they put more music instead of all that stupid crap that they have less people would get illegal music.

you're a petty thief n u had to spend so much photoshop time to say that. this is crap

hey guys... i don't know what you think about piracy but i'm proud to be a pirate!!!

p.s. how can you cut a collant in a so perfect way to show your eyes???

What a crock. Ever since people taped tapes off each other or copied vhs, industry people have been impotent to stop it. This is even cacker than the usual piss.

This is a very good way for MTV to alienate its prime target audience.

Way to go guys!

Here, here.

The personal thoughts on the issue aside, the idea is a relative first thought and the retouching is pretty bad.

could anyone "share" with me Lollipop from Lil Wayne ???

by the way, number 2 of MTV chart

I apologize, today is number 1 of the chart...

"dear mtv, go fuck yourself." krautland

as if an ad is going to stop anyone from downloading music. either way, the idea is pretty bland.

and MTV went from being a music video channel to a lousy reality series channel. MTV sucks big hairy donkey balls!

you italian fools, go and write a DECENT ad instead of trying to be the cleverest people around the world
oh! how i really hate you

chinaski's picture

stop the racist bullshit.

writing this you agree not to be the cleverest too...
fuck you!

p.s. i don't like that ad, but this is not the way to give a comment.
sorry, where are you from? banana repubblic?

So, they're saying, "You're nothing special if you steal music." Maybe you should switch to big bank heists and then maybe, just maybe, MTV will recognize you as special. I'm guessing there's a translation/language barrier here.

i have three letters for MTV: NIN

mtv and metallica should go fuck themselves.

Dear greedy, soulless corporations: Just because you're not making money from it doesn't make it theft.

Oh, and... go fuck yourselves.

Does MTV even play music anymore?

So why do they care?

When people start downloading "the simple life" with that R-tard paris hilton then they should be worried.

So in the words of a wise man. Dear MTV, go fuck yourselves.

Boo-Yow!

"Make a name, or be defamed"

bad strategy, bad insight and really horrible execution.
you're addressing the effect, not the cause.
you're insulting some of the audience (which will reject you) and you're giving a sense of pride to others that "Steal"; in fact, you're motivating them to be more than just a petty thief - so you're giving yourself buttkicks.

it's true what everybody said - MTV is not about music nowadays, but about crap reality shows.

to see much artists are respected, don't look at illegal music downloads, but how fast concert tickets sell. You can be sure that a good percent of concert goers buy music. Ahh, but wait.. music labels don't have their share from this. And the piracy bullshit is just a lame excuse for poor distribution, weak promotion and, most of all, lack of artistic value and durability.

Hey come on! Hogan knows best is quality informative television.

stop this bullshit about greedy coporations, it's off the point
seems like if you were in burma, you'll justify the killings - hey, everyone's doing it! oh, and the victims were greedy assholes, you would say
it is still illegal, no matter how many 'fucks' do you put in your sentences

the ad is another question. i would deffend the straightforwardness, sugar-coating the piracy gives no effect - these comments is the evidence
yet i don't think the execution is great

and please, share good examples of anti-piracy campaigns, instead of raging

You're an idiot to compare the conditions in Burma to music piracy.

In any context.

All of you monkeys, stop the crap. One, two, three ... lick your balls now!

so what does it take to become an extraordinary thief?

goon's picture

i,m stoned n downloading music guess they forgot ordinary stoned theives ha!

JoBeeOne's picture

Yep, this is a little off topic, unless the brief was to make an inconsequential statement and then insult some consumers. How is this going to make me rethink sharing my music/images with others

What doesn't kill you makes you injured.
