It's not a "ugly guns'n'roses shirt", but the Rolling Stones symbol. If you listened to something else than the latest Avril Lavigne hits you'd know about The Stones longevity. Maybe it would even help you understand this ad.

I'm not sure what everyone is missing... Back in the day they say you were either a beatles fan or a rolling stones fan. By putting Paul in a Stones shirt, MTV is saying they are a fan of both. Same with the Tupac/Biggie ad. It is the whole east coast west coast rap rivalry. MTV is a fan of both.

hey there, no problem, sometimes my sense of humor is just nonsense of humor. i guess we all know who and what is shown but i also think that we all agree that this ad doesnt show clear enough what its supposed to show. if there is a thought behind this one and not just a photoshop-skills sheet of a trainee's portfolio.
maybe they should've given this a headline adding some essence to it all or put this paul mc jagger in some controverse environment.
