sorry i don't get it.
explanation anyone?
That is a girl scout. They are known in the US for selling tasty little cookies as a form of fundraising.
thanks!
I think I like this. Not sure yet though. And what's up with the greasy hair? Go and wash.

I don't think I like it, don't know why, It's probably the picture that doesn't do it for me. Maybe it's not fun enough, and if it isn't fun enough, at least the visual should be incredible (which is not the case here) There was another ad with crying children that was visually more intersting ("angel hair", I can't find it now)
Yea, agency requested to pull the angel hair campaign.

I like it!! But i am afraid i won't buy cookies after seeing this ad... The poor little girl :(
overall visual n art direction seems a lil bit wrong..
* it's not how good you are. it's how good you want it to be *
AM I CAME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SHOOTING
Others have seen what is and asked why. I have seen what could be and asked why not.

is this an old ad? i feel like i've seen this before?
other than that, i love this ad! brings back old memories of selling cookies, and how TASTY they are!
Have you tried selling anything door to door? It sucks...no one ever wants to buy what you are peddling whether you are a brownie, a cub a scout or a guide! I'd think this little lass would be elated to have finished selling off her cookies???
She didn't sell any cookies thanks to Mrs. Fields' brand cookies. They are saying that Mrs. Fields's cookies are putting girl scouts out of business.
I used to be a Girl Guide and let me tell you, I sold the hell out of those cookies... No Mrs Fields would take me out! I won for most cookie boxes sold every year.
I don't think this positioning is the best though. One thumb up from me.
...and the penny drops! Perhaps if she were clutching a protest sign (over done...I know) Cheers for the insight :-)
You know, if she were holding a protest sign, it might make a lot more sense to most folks. Maybe it is overdone, but it would have worked better.
:)
Hmmm, cultural insights... I thought that she was crying because she had to sell the cookies... well, anyway I think is a good ad.
hahahahgreat indeed. a shame it only works in the US

I saw it in Communication Arts or something like that. It was one of those ads where you ask yourself "How'd this make it?" I dislike this a lot.
JTW926, this is why you thought you saw it before.

you did.
Bad. Makes the Mrs. Fields cookie company come across as being a greedy corporation that doesn't support fundraising. Not good PR. At least from my POV.
Yep. Agreed.
