I've never seen the VW ad, but this ad is fantastic. Great idea & execution.

This is the strongest ad out of the bunch. The idea of not feeling like you are not part of a group, whether that's family or friends, is a strong emotional concept. Very nice.

Lovely. I like this one best but the other are good, too. It gives the idea that, even young, obese children know they stand out. I think it will touch parents pretty strongly.
Nobody will learn anything from this ad. They will assume that it's reasonable to make fat children outcasts so they will be motivated to eat healthier, rather than understanding that fat children need support and acceptance.
This campaign also falls into the myth that fat is a choice, for a majority of people it isn't. Everyone comes in all shapes and sizes, you can be fat and be healthy.
