kAgree with above, a bit boring. doesnt stand above nor is it memorable. Its just.."ok". But then again, coming from an Ad School, being just "ok" is not ok.

This is bad, I don't understand why people like this. Can anyone explain why this is OK or good without using "It's ok I dont know why but it's ok"

Where is the pen or are you going write with your finger? This ad tells me very little about the product in fact all other notebooks are the same. What makes this notebook better? Two ads on the same subject line of ideas coming and going? The logo said "sketch" you forget to mention that in your copy and idea.

Make this product better than all other notebooks. I thought that what they teach you in ad college. Don't forget to learn more about your product their website is very helpful.

@bakamono. You sound like a very frustrated creative that works at a place where you have to explain everything on the ad and still consider it an ad.
This idea is simple and clear: Tie your ideas up, so they don't go away. I like it. It's also hard to find a unique selling proposition that differentiates this from other sketchpads, so I like the fact that these guys worked out a nice positioning for the product. Advertising is not about making a product better, it's about making people think your product is better.

And by the way, you CAN sketch out an idea.

We have reached a point where we need a statement from the authors, because I liked it a lot better when I thought it was a laptop with a mouse -- the only likely visual reading of this setup -- and before I learned it might actually be an exhortation to "tie up your ideas". The insinuation that this is what you ought to be playing with instead of the internet is resonant enough on it's own to run with. The suggestion to use a book ribbon to lasso your ideas -- nah.

There's a fun idea here, but the tagline doesn't seem strong enough. I would've have said something along the lines of "don't let your ideas get away" or something.
