I like the campaign, but feel that it stops shy of realising its potential. I like the visuals by and large although I think there could be some tweaks with the art direction. I do like the absurdity of them all and the fact that they don't rely on sexual fetishes but just sheer weirdness.

Now for where I feel that it falls short. In each execution you have a gay couple that are looking rather shocked at a different persuasion. I'm not sure if that is the best approach for a diversity festival that, one would assume, is grounded in tolerance for whatever your persuasion. I don't think the copy is right. Lots of things are weird to me (the use of for rather than to I assume is one of those translation oddities), but that carries a bit more of a judgment than a celebration of diversity. I think the ads should be reversed in the sense that the weird is the commonplace so rather than asking people what freaks them out, you're saying that whatever you're thing is, you'll see it at at this film festival.

- The only thing more rare than a good ad is a good guest comment -

Que es raro para mi?
Esta campaña. Ojo, raro no significa malo (necesariamente)
