What's so differentiating upon an unpainted roof? They could have talked about something else!!
They're not trying to differentiate the Mini by saying it's roof is unpainted. They're using the "fact" that the roof is "unpainted" to explain why the car is affordable.
At first I was iffy about this set. Eventually, though, I came around. This takes an ironic, bemused view of all the miserable hard-scrabble advertising strategies you see in retail during this recession. It dares smile at catastrophe, or rather, the way some clients and agencies handle catastrophe. It's satiric. I like that.

Count me in!
Again a false headline. Roof is painted white. Sorry, but that's common sense.

*roof unpainted
would suffice. asterisk allows extraneous words to be omitted.
