This is very nice. It works as a teaser because it makes me want to see how big this thing is.

i think i saw a similar idea for a apartment ad, it is also showing a "you're here" map.
for me, i don't really like this ad, perhaps the art direction is not sexy enough? :P

Who cares if you've seen it before?

I care.

I will have you know that I've seen everything before. If fact, that ad that Ivan is gonna place next week Friday, it's already been done.

True.

ideas....30 minutes nahi toh free.

Seriously - what does your 'signature' mean.

done before.

ideas....30 minutes nahi toh free.

So?

I like itas it is. And if it has been done before, so what? I haven't seen it.

I think what people are saying when they write 'seen it' or 'done before' is that although it may be an okay idea, it's not really original. If you'd read a few more award books and visited sites like this over the last few years you would have seen that exact same ad - as, I'm guessing, did the creatives who wrote this one.

So?

If it's not original work, it's not really worth commenting about. That's why we say 'done before' and move on.

I'm pretty sure you would have seen it too DJ. It's in The Work 04 or 05.

Yep. Hence my point. Just couldn't remember where I'd seen it.

I know exactly why people always do that, its just the thought of a bunch of creatives sitting around going 'seen it', 'been done before', etc. seems like it sucks all the fun out of it, and I wish if, as you say 'its not really worth commenting about' then they just don't bother commenting, and, as you say 'move on'. That would be better.

But by going 'seen it', 'been done before' its just sounds like the washed up old has been who feels its their duty to ruin the party.

Also who are the 'we' you are referring to in the last line? Makes it feel awfully condescending. How do you know how many award books and sites I've seen anyway?

Sorry Bear, no offence, by 'we' I mean those of us who say stuff like 'seen it before' etc. Even though I don't really like that as a comment (I would rather literally 'move on') it is an affront to those of us who bust our asses trying to come up with something original when some creatives just 'recycle'.

I'm not trying to belittle you, I'm just saying that I don't read that many award books and I've seen this ad a couple of times before. You just seemed so pissed of that I thought I'd better jump to the defence of those of us who do care about how original the work here is.

Sorry if I offended though, that wasn't my intention.

No, don't worry.

Apology excepted, and I to in turn apologise.

Didn't mean to sound pissed off.

I get the feeling that to see someone rip off/recycle your own ad would be about as annoying as it gets, so I sympathise with people that has happened too.

See you around.

it´s great. and i´m really sick of your signature "ideas..." what does it mean?

I still give this ad..bronze...

i think it's boring.

Works much better for the alzheimer ad...
Nice try JWT...not fooling me;)

"Sex sells. Truth even better."
A friend

oh yeah! that would be a very funny...:)

It's big? But why can I see the steering wheel? From that position the distance to the steering wheel is quite similar to the distance from there to the luggage trunk. Hmmmm... :)

I really like this. 7/10, very clean

"The creative's grace" by Father D'Child (to be said before each long lunch):

May your lunches last longer than your meetings.
May the only time you hear "it's been done" be when the IT guy installs porn on your computer.
May your first thought be your best thought and
May all your scams go undetected.

Amen

Amen.

little boring....

I think it's ok, cracks me up a smile...

Lorem Ipsum dolor sit amet...

hey its already done by saatchi & saatchi mumbai for santro xing.. spacious. and it is in some award books also.. its done very long back..

good good good. but not a very hard thing to think up though.

lovely...really nice

Cool! love it!

Giving the benefit of doubt that they're trying to enhance the BIGness of the GL class, this is a good ad.

But Mercedes Benz is not about BIGGINESS.

They could've zoomed in with the headrest and all the control buttons covering the full ad, with perhaps a hint of the exquisite leather surrounding the headrest. With this caption:

"We don't have to remind you that you're off roading."

or something like it.......
