This ad, bill board or what ever it is works only on the strength of McDonalds brand identity . It does not give any useful information for the consumer, and is an average display with average photography.

It must be a cream or jam burger during coffee break. Nice work especially the visual showing the size in comparison to the conventional burger.

It's a pastry that looks like a hamburger. A pastry is something you eat it with coffee. At the McCafe. Which is where you can buy coffee. And pastries that look like hamburgers.

Those cakes are called "macarons" in France. The specialit is LADUREE.
They just look like little burger.

In France we eat burgers at the "Déjeuner"( lunch), and macarons at the "petit déjeuner" (" little lunch"= breakfast)

Thanks for the explanation Brainsugar. Because the symmetry of the hands is so strong i was thinking, it might have some hidden symbolism that we are missing :)

I personally like it... I just didn't know they serve "macarones" at McDonald's (this is how they look like, like the famous and delicious French cookies). Do they served these at breakfast?

There are macarons in the U.S to. They are the "trendy" pastries right now, as stupid as that might sound. The new cupcake if you will :)
