Man, this one is so much better that I can't even think of the old ones. Sometimes you have an idea that someone already had, it happens. At least, this time, the idea came out much better.

While i agree that you might have an idea that someone already had, but that is the whole point! Even many of my ideas which i thouht were genuine and unique were rubbished when found such ideas existed.

So the need is to look for newer more creatiove ideas instead of modifying earlier ones. That's the challenge in creativity.

Hi. I just started at the Miami Ad School in San Francisco as a copywriter, so I'm on AotW to begin dissecting (oh god, did I just say that?) ads and others opinions of them. While I agree this one is much better than the "original" ones...I'm curious about your take on "original ideas." If you said you had an idea that you came up with, but found it had already been executed...is it not still genuine to some extent? If you didn't copy it...and especially if you can execute it better than that which came before...is it not allowed in the ad world? Thanks...
