Lighten up, Francis.

I agree with your point, just not your caps. Besides advertising is cultural. What works in one culture won't necessarily translate to another. I have no idea if "In the arms of the elements" has some meaning there I'm not aware of.

The ad looks nice but does nothing for me. Hopefully it works better with their audience.

- The only thing more rare than a good ad is a good guest comment -

sorry with the caps
just get sick with someone who sent critics with some nonsense point.

i agree with you, that 'What works in one culture won't necessarily translate to another.'

and some of us doesn't really wanna know about that.

A good creative execution is not enough.
With a line of text like:
for your deeper moment.
for your hotter moment.
for your lighter moment.
this campagn takes a new direction and sells something.
So : perhaps it's copy problem ???!!!!…

Art in itself is an idea, Concept or not people will still look at it and associate the product with that high end artwork. Look at most high end fashion-same shit. Give the concept bit a rest bc your just adding "rules" to advertising which it doesnt need.

I hate to disagree with Mister Shouty (lest he turn that caps-lock onto me), but it's not necessarily our job to have ideas - just our job to create audience awareness and sell products.

These are quite eye-catching and beautiful, people will look at them. All the cleverness in the world amounts to nothing if nobody looks at it. And because most ads at the moment involve a clever catchline and minimalist graphics, then something that's different will stand out. Just like if the market was flooded with pretty illustration, then this would fade in and a clever quip would stand out.
