what is the idea here. for one thing wearing mehandi for marriage was never part of the malayalee marriage tradition. only muslims of kerala wear mehandi on the occassion of their marriages. mehandi and the mehandi ceremony is a typical north indian tradition, which is mimicked by a few upper class malayalees. and if a girl is already wearing mehandi, that means her marriage is already fixed. what is she doing then by browsing a portal that offering ideal matches, when she has already found one for her. is it that this portal give all would be brides second thoughts???

Mehendi or mailanchi as it is known is part of Malayalee weddings. All Malayalee brides have a mehendi function. In addition to muslim, hindu brides too wear it. Many christian brides wear mehendi for the reception too. The concept is to integrate a traditional imagery to the medium. THe site is Malayalee specific, not the concept. It is part of a larger set of ads...
