Facebook logo meets headstone? Is that the twist? Seems slightly forced.

No, that's not the twist. It's a red cross, as in an emergency. This is quite clever. Sorry you didn't get it.

Nope, it's not Ashton Kutcher, it's Kevin Malone.

I didn't get it neither before reading your post... maybe they would have made the F a little bit more like the cross would have been more understanbable
I really found it clever!

The red cross doesn't have tapered lines and is red, not white. Also, the copy says, what's the "last thing" you want to post. So how can you be sure it isn't a cross in a graveyard? I am curious.

Furthermore... the Swiss flag is a white cross on a red background. So maybe you should think the message is, "If you get distracted by posting to Facebook while you're driving, you might look up and find yourself in Switzerland."

If you do a simply google search of American Red Cross, you'll see both red and white crosses. They use both - a red cross encased in white and a white cross encased in red. It's not a cross in a graveyard because I never seen or heard of a headstone being red and white like this, perhaps one you find on the side of a road. It would be hard to confuse it with something that doesn't exist in reality. And as far as confusing it with the Swiss flag, I guess American Red Cross has the same issues. Doesn't seem to bother them....

Any more concerns?

I don't think it's an amazing ad, but it's not terrible.

Yeah, you haven't quelled any of my concerns.

1. I just googled it and the red crosses outnumbered the white crosses about 50:1.
Have you considered it's red and white because those are the colors of the brand's logo?

2. And again, why do they say "last thing" if it is only talking about getting hurt, as opposed to dying?

3. And why did they taper the edges of the logo? Facebook's logo doesn't have 2 tapered edges? Neither does the Red Cross. But a headstone can.

This ad seems to be causing you lots of mental anguish. I suggest you contact the agency and ask them.

You've gone ad hominem. You obviously are admitting you are wrong. Now feel free to go off and not understand some other ads.
