I get what they're trying to say (I think) but by sort of saying an adoption child is a gift it feels, to me, he/she is becoming a product.

Guest's picture

and that´s wrong?

Guest's picture

its just saying that an adopted child is as much a gift to the parent as the parent is a gift to the child

Guest's picture

I don´t agree, i think the message is sent across in a very insightful way, like recieving a gift on both sides, the only thing is that the visuals lack sensitivity. Seems like theyre just explaining, more than trying to engage.

very interesting, besides it's a very good choice from the copywriter to write nothing--> that will bring people to have their own perception about what is said, and argue about it

I like it. But this ad has lack of emotional mood.

The insight is in the right place but the execution lacks the right tone for a client like this.

Something's not working with these ads. The idea has potential, but to show the child as a gift box, making him look like an object you bring home to your family as a gift, tends to be offensive.

This passes the "Awww" and "Isn't that sweet" test with flying colors. Not sure what more anyone expected.

Another possible plus: This feels less "pro bono ad = thinkstock search" than most ads for things like this, more upscale department store. The approach is original for this category, in other words.

"Ubi hubave lubearned thubat ubanuby fubool cuban wrubite uba bubad ubad, bubut thubat ubit tubakes uba rubeal gubenubiubus tubo kubeep hubis hubands uboff uba gubood ubone."

Pretty nice, it´s a double surprise!!
