some kind of mind you have...
if you had ever thought about an adhesive and this would be the first thing that came to your mind, then why didn't you do it? "hmm adhesive...strong adhesive...OH YEAH! lets just glue chains together!" nice thought process...
this ad isnt that bad, considering its from italy...

I like this. There have been an awful lot of super strong adhesive ads done, but I've never seen this one. Nice thought. 10 years ago it would have been a world-beater. Now it may get a finalist.

Photo: the adhesive makes a chemical weld between the parties and usually it leaves a visible trace, in this case nothing is there.
From a visual point of view that's weak.

Only if you need a text. If not it's totally useless and it devaluates the idea.
Tastes are tastes, no need to discuss.
wrong, the need for a headline is something that can be discussed. if an ad is stronger without then it has nothing to do with taste. taste is about the right shade of dark blue. i.e. personal preferences.
In fact after this discussion everybody make comments forgetting their own taste.
However, stop joking and let me explain my point of you.
Who can decide if an adv could be less or more stronger with/without a text?
A professor like you? On the basis of which parameters?
Certainly an adv can stand alone without text, but why thinking that's the best?
If usually the adv team includes a copywriter it means a text could be included in an adv.
The team decide not to put text: ok it's their decision, they can do it.
Nobody says that an adv cannot stand as a simple image, but someone can disagree with that (specifically in thi subject case) and you, with your degree in advertising, you are not however a person infallible.
a team comes up with an idea, and that does not imply that copy needs to be included in every ad.
what headline would you add to this ad then, smart ass?
- glues any link without having to link them ?
- the strongest glue in the world ?
- the glue that makes chains obsolete ?
get a job in a real agency and learn.

Comunicates smartly the benefit of the product. There's no point in how you use the chain, nobody cares about that. For me is a very good work.
