I am not an art person. Can some art directors comment on the photoshopping of the light beam?
I like the idea.

I see what you mean.. sometimes none of these are first or last. 2 people in a population of 5 billion in the world can have the same idea. The sole reason why you can't copyright ideas. but i prefer the art on this one than the spaceship one.
The light does feel wierd.

ideas....30 minutes nahi toh free.

Where to start.

Seen this idea before, no news there. I really love a well executed cliché, but this ain't well done.

Ooh the photoshopping. For a start if the beam is coming from a ship shouldn't the light source be from a lower angle, and there's clearly daylight on the rocks, and there's daylight hitting the house from the other side and why isn't night if your using a flashlight.

This a typical victim of trying to cobble together an idea from stock pictures, had it been a commisioned piece it may have been beautiful, I could go on, and on but I think I just did. Lol.

Idea is nice, but I like the one with the flying saucer (linked one) more. Position of this beam is idd a bit 'unusual', but hey... you still get the idea...

this is very good. i don't see al the flaws some people are pointing out in the photoshop job (i'm not saying they're not there, just saying i'm not seeing them).

the flying saucer is very cool too, i don't know which came first and i like both of them.

A nice work. On the photoshopping i think it needs a little bit of more work. I think the scale of the lighthouse don't fit, am i correct?. If natural light come from backwards the light house must be reflected in water too (a very long reflecttion).

I'm not an art director but even I see that the lightbeam should also go beyond the lighthouse. This is because the lightbeam of a Mag-lite is round and the lightgouse is rectangular. Also the angle is a little strange indeed.

But the idea is clear. Like it, as I do the one with the UFO (that one is even a bit better in my opinion).

The ship could be just out of the shot. I think they took some creative licensee here. I agree the light should come from lower down but it that would make the ad so obvious. Nice ad. I prefer it to ufo.
