I don’t think it’s that bad. But as someone else has previously said that perhaps a student section would be good for ads like these so people are more understanding?

(addressing to dellsheng) I think many creative directors want 2 things from you: good skills as an art director and fresh, good ideas. With this, you are able to show only PS/Indesign/whateverprogram skills. Don't spare the time to come up with a decent, new concept.

I do not read Chinese so I do not know the product and its benefits. I agree with Ivan on the five stars, the concept is very safe and has been done countless times; the foam of a drink giving the form of something to describe the beverage or the liquid itself shaped as a person or thing.

Don't be shy to post a link to your portfolio (if you have one) or the comments you receive on your work after having it reviewed. Best of luck with gaining that internship experience.

I completely agree with you. I think that the best way to grow is to share your work, and unfortunately people here have just trashed the work and not many have given the reasons why they think it doesn't work. At least you stated as to WHY it doesn't work. Everyone has to start somewhere and I give kudos to him for putting it out there so early on in his career. People just tend to forget what it was like in their first years and just starting out.

I do think that a student section is a great idea, good way to see new talent and for the talent to learn and grow. Good luck to you.
