creative idea, nice.
fashion idea, questionable.
I guess we all know how a Levi's jeans look like. They do not have patterns or style?
Sometimes its bad but, SHOW THEM JEANS!!!
unless you are using it as a sneak preview for a collection of slim jeans by levi's with a call to action line or a drive to website then i guess it works.

waaaaaaaaaaa! i'm so not skinny enough for these jeans. just look at these models. boooohooooo!!!
seriously. how great is it to see a brand like levi's be able to not show their actual product, yet still create highly effective advertising? now, that's brand power!!

Congratulations Levis. You are one of the first few companies to crack into the anorexic market. The ‘Two Incomes No Kids’ market has been totally saturated, there is disposable income in the ‘Single Income No Groceries’.
For the next campaign why not have one of them throwing up in the toilet while the other one holds back their hair

I saw this one awarded at the Cannes. Have we all gone crazy? Someone please explain these ads to me. How is many different types of drawing (bad ones at that) a campaign? This is really mediocre stuff. Wonder if they translated into sales at all? The youth, I would guess would want to see what the jeans look like. If Lee ran a campaign next page showing the same product with decent creative and the jeans Duh!, which one would you go for. I think this is trash. A black mark on cannes. And everyone, please stop playing 'The emperors clothes'. Just because its been awarded dont see it as good. Njappa and Kakkad have pulled one over evryones eys. Pathetic advertising and creative.

This looks like it was written by an ART DIRECTOR, drawn by a COPYWRITER, F.A.'d by the JANITOR using MS PAINT, cleared to the OFFICE GUARD and delivered to the Cannes by the CREATIVE DIRECTOR. Guest, don't blabber about them people thinnking that it needs a beautiful photo shoot. BECAUSE IT DOES. i don't want to see a grand prix to be awarded to the fools who did these ads! This ad is so fucking simple that its creators deserve to be burned at the stake for attempting to change the convention, etc. etc. etc. ... IF its simplicity were effective, then i wouldn't be this mad. THIS IS THE EMPEROR'S NEW CLOTHES OF OUR TIME. please, don't get fooled. I know you're not as stupid as the people (if they are really people, though i doubt it) who made these ads.

Have to disagree with you, Cannes Finalist -- yes, it's "so fucking simple" -- which is what makes it great. Only things that are truly different like this stand a chance of being noticed, and this is about as different as it gets for fashion.
Now I'm a pretty thin, decent-looking guy, but I get sick of all the fashion ads with all those guys that are thinner and better-looking than I am. Two thumbs up to Levi's for having the balls and the sense of humor to not show their produce and do something so anti-cool.

You got it right there. Its truly different. My first reaction was 'What the F*&%k is this'? I definitely noticed it.Its so bad you wouldnt miss it. Congrats to the creative team for creating a new trend. Create something so bad and unthinkable , splash it all over and get attention. Its a lot of things. The guy who did this had guts. But I would never hire the guy who did it. I prefer creative people.

I LOVE IT! I WISH IT WON THE GRAND PRIX AT CANNE. IT IS MUCH BETTER THAN THE LEGO AD ANYWAY!
Not really liked this campaign.
They needed an illustrator for this ad :)
However Droga says they almost gave this one a Grand Prix.
I like these ads a lot. A lot. :-)

I like this campaign, even the TV Ad is nice. I think the illos should have done better
I agree, the illustrations are not the best they can be. I see a bit of naivity.
