I just find the title to be very offensive.
Nowhere is there a mention or suggestion of anything "Italian" (or "husband" for that matter) in the ad.
I know it must be fun titling each ad, but sometimes it's just best left alone...
I can easily see how this could be a Middle Eastern household scenario where brutality against women are a cottage industry...
it's not suggesting brutality against women. it's suggesting violence against a guy who's fucking your wife. italians are hot blooded. it'd take far less than a guy fucking their wife to set one off. i really don't think they'd be offended.
Well, we all know she's going to "get it" too, eventually.
But that's NOT my point. And I don't care whether or not "they" would be offended.
Read my first line. "I" find the title offensive. And I don't even have any Italian blood in me.
I just find this whole "branding" people business extremely irritating. It is a form of racism after all.
That's why I used the Middle Eastern analogy to show "my" ignorance and stereotype against men of that region, when in reality, that's not entirely true... I'm sure that irritated SOMEBODY!
Some generalizations are true. Yes, Italians are hot blooded. Yes, Russians have a serious problem with organized crime. Yes, woman are not treated equal in the Middle East. This doesn't mean all Italians, Russians and Arabs are the same. It's not a PC thing to generalize, but it's completely rational. Bad and good traits can be generalized as long as they are that generalizations and not a rule or preconception. If I judge somebody by his nationality or race that's racism — I agree with you.
Could be another title. But what´s the difference for the public? Ads don´t come with their title attached.
I can´t say the same for the awards´ jury. =)

I didn't name this one. The agency did. But he's clearly Southern Italian. :)

Ohhhh, but that's where you're dead wrong!
Not all Americans are politically "correct". Just take a look at our President!! :D

I hate to be the first one to say it, but yes folks, this has been done.
Can't remember where I saw it, maybe Joe La Pompe can tell us who, when and where.
Old gag, like 'Mafia'. Passable. Good talent.
Let me guess. The Godfather trilogy's just been on tv?
>>>> That's not an ad. THIS is an ad.

and so relevant to the product function!
great ad.
I think they did it on purpose, but this would read much better as "Coughs happen."
NO! Not coughs happen. Cough happens is like shit happens. And shit is about to happen.
