I don't a a link but I have a book: THE ADVERTISING CONCEPT BOOK, by Pete Barry, pg55.(publisher Thames and Hudson)
These ads make me want to look away quickly rather than buy their product. Ok, the cleavage shot less.. But still, what mother would look at a photo of a man shooting himself in the head and think "gee, they're right, I should buy my kid more Lego brand toys". If I was a kid and I saw this ad I'd ask my mom for a Lego brand gun (or heroin.. or cleavage).
lets try to think about this lego ad in the same way ppl were trying to explain the two other ads (gun, drugs)...r u trying to tell me that watching tv when i'm a kid is going to make me want to have sex when i'm an adult??
well i thought every healthy adult person has a sex drive! there is nothing wrong about tht! its natural!
the situation on the pic looks like they r couple...again whats wrong in a couple having sex??
Do you not see that the blur effect that is censoring the "adult" things is composed of Lego?
Message: Lego helps keep kids innocent. Something all parents want.
This is the worst thing i have seen in months. I can't believe people actually like this. I think 90% of the positive comments come from the creatives who are responsible for this piece of crap. (I suspect they're from I......) the other 10% are people who have wrong standards.
nice thought, kids watch wrong things n concieve wrong things.
i think you should send your entry to social print advertising award organized in India.
11th International Concerned Communicator Award which is open for entries.
The winner gets to win a cash of US $ 11,000. there is no entry fee for this.
Guess u wud like to try ur chance. all u need to do is fill in the entry form, attach ur ad and send it to cca@rajasthanpatrika.com.

Lego shouldn't deal too much with DDB...
award crab.
award crab.
If this is real, it deserves something in award shows.
Its a fresh angle, well done!
I don´t care about the ads. But these fake positive comments are really bad ...
Agree! Lego is not for this kind of ad. Though, the copy is good for social message but the visual is not educated...

What's with the position of that blur, does she have a nipple in the middle of her chest?
The box-y blurs are Lego pieces.

Yeah, you should have blurred that face.
Horrible ad. It doesn't work in any possible way. There's no idea what so ever. And if anyone from DDB thinks other way, please explain.

c'mon guys, try to think diff, its a fresh direction after all.. i like it!
so obviously the ad works for a very few.
but that's not how it should be.

a fresh direction does not make a good idea.

nice and fresh idea
nice and fresh idea
right, so instead of having kids watch too much TV, let's show them a completely age-inappropriate image. Great idea.
Parent: "Oh, no, if I don't get my kids playing with Lego soon, they might think about having sex when they're adults!!"
Piece of shit.
