Adidas is known for having 3 stripes on their shoes. K-Swiss has alot of the same style sportswear, but they have 5 stripes. sooooo they show someone remaking an adidas to look like a K-Swiss shoe.
I think its cute.
And why do you explain like no one understand it?

This looks to me like KSwiss are saying, 'we take wwhat adidas do, then we copy it and change it just enough to get away with it'
Doesn't work for me, and is infact slightly damaging to K-Swiss in my opinion.

Take it on the other side: Our product is just as good as Adidas, but we have 2 stripes more.
I think it looks like "gee, I wish my Adidas were K-Swiss" I like it, I thisk its brave. Although when it comes to trainers I'm an old school Adidas man. Always was, always will be!

i think they are trying to say its not the label that matters but the quality,durability and ........ of the shoe.
However, in some way they seem to indirectly confront addidas, buy saying kswiss is far much better,that someone can buy an addidas shoe and brand it kswiss.

yes...but it's an old shoe...so why brand it k-swiss when it's dirty? Cos Kswiss is as good as an old addidas shoe? I kind of like it anyway but the message is too blurry.

What a2o said makes sense, It should be an ad for adidas, and could run with a line that says 'other brands can only dream' or 'often copied, never bettered' or something better along that sentiment.

yeah this blows. the 5 K-Swiss stripes are not iconic at all. and i know whenever i see shoes with more than three stripes i automatically think knock-offs.

All Day I Dream About Swiss
They completely missed on this one. It is visually communicating that K-Swiss is just copying Adidas.
What they need to express is the other way around.
Showing an Adidas shoe with the stitch marks and maybe a faded spot where Adidas removed the K-Swiss's other 2 strips. This puts K-Swiss on top!

Not a bad ad if only there had been a line to explain what the brand/'agency' wanted to say.
For example 'the real K-Swiss, not as expensive as you might think', 'every shoe wants to be a K-Swiss' (or better lines of course... ;-))
