I think maybe if the photo was flipped it might work better. The composition feels awkward as is.

These ads were done by DraftFCB Melbourne, Australia, not USA.
And it should be a fork because it is a fork on the pack.
Wouldn't work flipped, would look weird with fork in left hand.
