Who says it's copied? It's a fresh idea.

Well executed. Hats off to FP7. I'm in this industry for over a decade now. And this is one among the better ads I've seen. Good work.

You think this campaign is well executed? My what low and mediocre standards you have David. No disrespect, but have you been in a coma for the last 10 years? You should definitely get out and see more ads. Start here: http://www.canneslions.com/

Writing sentences like this I really don't think you should be calling yourself 'davidabott'. A bit of respect, please.

i think there's a similar idea for a battery back in the 2001/2002 one show in the merit section. the visual was of an old battery powered game sitting in the garage all dusted up but the lights are still on.

When comments like this surface we need to decide what does "done" mean:

People forget that having an idea in your student book is one thing, working on a "REAL" brief and then trying to sell it is a whole other ball game. Ivan i think this is
where uploading student is screwing it for real work. I know people are going to say give a break to the students etc.....but i can come up with an idea, think of a client
to work with that idea and walah new ad in my portfolio. This is where i think it's wrong you posting student ads Ivan.

Jesus,

cool down a bit. If you´re afraid that students will have all your ideas allready you should seriously consider to leave the business.

Anyway - the idea would have won in 92. Twenty years later nobody will care.

Long lasting car batteries = old car with lights still on.
Doesn't get much more 'first thought' than that.

This won't trouble the Cannes judges. Sorry guys.

Reminds me of that car polish ad. The one where a very old wreck is still shining at its best.

Seems like you couldn't sell it to ACDelco, so you chose.... uh ... Koba batteries???
That they last long is not an ad promise, it's a simple lie.

FP7 and copycat are almost becoming synonymous.

well what can you expect from a company that pretends to be an advertising agency? FP7 is a pseudo-advertising agency. . .if you are a copycat or a creative-wanna-be, then you'll make it at FP7. . .apply NOW!
